I've got BT full fibre 900 down 100 up, and if I run a speedtest this is more or less what I get. But for the last couple of weeks probably 50% of websites have been painfully slow to load, some can be upwards of 10 seconds, yet the same websites will load normally on my phone over wifi.

I've changed nothing hardware or settings wise. I've reset the router which did nothing. PC is connected via ethernet.

Any advice?

Can you change the DNS settings on your router?

If so try using using a different DNS provider rather than the BT provided one e.g.

Google: Primary 8.8.8.8, Secondary 8.8.4.4
Quad9: 9.9.9.9, 149.112.112.112
Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1

Changed it to the google ones you suggested and its instantly back to being as fast as it used to be, so many thanks!

Why would the default one suddenly have issues? Is this a BT problem?

If you care about privacy, then use Quad9 rather than Google. ISP DNS servers are generally rubbish.

FWIW I've never experienced slow loading of websites using the BT-provided DNS servers, so it's possible you're just masking a problem.
