Hi All,
I have a Supertflower Leadex 1000watt psu I've had for probably six or seven years that since upgrading to a 5950x and rtx 3090 makes a ticking noise which is quite irritating. The PSU is out of warranty and given the replacement cost of the components I've got a Asus ROG Thor 1200watt arriving today from OCUK to replace (not my first choice, but mining....)
This isn't fan related as it happens when fan is off, it's definitely electromechanical. I also get pretty bad audio distortion through my on-board audio to the extent I had to get an external dac.
THIS article albeit for a different model is pretty spot on. So, do i look at reflowing solder joints on random resisters... I would like to continue using the PSU (just not on my main rig now...)
