I saw them a few years ago supporting Radiohead in Oxford, they were very good.

If you listen to the very start of the track (before the drums and guitar start), you'll hear a couple of quacks. The reason being that they recorded at Sawmills in Cornwall where they can create their own unique natural reverb by bouncing the audio over the water of the creek it sits on, off the facing bank and back into a mic... oh, and over the heads of a group of ducks that they evidently decided to keep the contribution of

I was gigging in a pub and after we'd finished these two lads came up and started asking about the gear and guitars etc which virtually happens everywhere. At the end of the conversation you always ask "And do you play in a band?" - "Yeah, we're called Supergrass and hopefully we'll be signing a contract soon".
Do you know how many times I've heard this bullcrap?
Anyway I remember one of the lads saying hopefully their first single was called Caught By The Fuzz.
I couldn't believe it when it did come out and a damned fine band they are to.
My fave is Sun Hits The Sky.

Easily one of my favorite bands of all time.
Some of their songs are just superb. One of my favorites is 'It's Not Me' and Gaz (guitar/vocals) just sat down on his bed and played it without any intention. It just came out, and that, to me, is a testament to how good a song writer he is.
As musicians they're all awesome as well. All of them play the guitar and the piano. On another one of my favorites 'Za' , Danny (drums) plays the piano part on it. That maybe quite common for bands, but I really love groups of musicians that play many instruments.
Bit of blabble there but they really are a fantastic band, and as mentioned above, deserved far far more success than they had.
