I was using my old superhub 2 in Modem mode and didn't have any issues while downloading. I recently got an ac version of the superhub and as I have a few Ac devices so thought I would use all the router functions. It seems to work fine but the router locks up when I am downloading torrent files. Has anyone had the same issues? Is there a fix or a setting that will stop this fault as the only way so far to sort it is to reboot the router which is highly annoying.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Is it just when using 5ghz ac ?

Mine drops out the 5ghz band when using high bandwidth, have to switch to 2.4ghz while it sorts itself out.

Think the router just cant handle the throughput/its cheap rubbish.

Limit the torrent client's amount of connections to something reasonable.

global connections: 50
maximum number of connections per torrent: 25
global number of upload slots: 10
maximum number of upload slots per torrent: 5

How did you get your hands on an ac superhub, did you get sent one automatically?

I've got a Superhub 2 non-ac and I dialled 150 to try and find out about being sent a better one, but the guy said they don't actually supply nor sell them anymore so there's nothing he could do.

I'm currently wired and want to go wireless, but my Asus USB-AC56 can only max out at 140mbit from ~ 3 metres away at the moment :( edit: and I've got Virgin's 200mbit so I wouldn't want that extra 60meg to be for nothing!

FYI new router will be coming out soon

I had a Netgear and more recently a TP-Link. That said, the settings that KIA suggested seems to have made a huge difference not only downloading but all device performance across my network :)
