Superhub Settings

Hi guys just had the superhub and virgin 50meg fitted, the hub is downstairs and mac upstairs!! only getting about 37meg at the mo!!

what settings do you think i should go for to get a faster connection?

Go into the Hub config, go to services and disable Firewall and IP Flood Detection for starters.

Thank your lucky stars you're getting a wireless connection at all tbh. Realistically though I think you won't see much more than that unless you run a cable..

Yeah if you want the full 50mb use a network cable, wireless in the real world wont reach those speeds

Doubt it, I have a few 200mb Homeplugs and I only get like 20mbit max on them.

I had 50mb and I used to get the full 50mb over wireless. I currently have 100mb and I get:

although the highest has been in the high 80's:

My wired connect gets nearer the 100mb, although I currently having issues with the super hub because it is a piece of crap.

I'm using 200mb homeplugs to an upstairs room, into a cheap gigabit switch and get around 120mb out of them.

It depends on your wiring, I used to get 33mb in my old house!
