Hi Guys,
I recently bought a 5 port unmanaged switch so I could cable a few more of the devices under my TV into my LAN network, as I was getting sick of the Superhub's wireless performance. While this has solved a few issues, I still experience awful performance when using wireless-only devices, e.g. iPad.
I know that I could buy a decent router and put the Superhub into modem mode, however I was also wondering if I could turn the Superhub to modem mode and then plug in a wireless access point to the switch, would that work? I'm not sure if I still need a device to act as "router" if I'm using a switch?
If no, then would the Asus RT-N66U be a decent choice? I don't need to cover a huge area, it's just a 2 bedroom flat. I'm going to end up buying an 8-port switch anyway as somehow I'm still short of LAN ports, unless someone can recommend a router with solid wireless and more than 4 LAN ports?
