Superman: Legacy

That's only valid up to a point.

I love sci-fi and fantasy so I'm well versed with doing just that, even with silly stuff that isn't supposed to be taken seriously. Sometimes a thing is simply so poorly executed that regardless of genre or source it's impossible to turn a blind eye and keep eating popcorn. Frankly, the entirety of what I've seen so far is shockingly bad and entirely unappealing, it looks like steaming hot poo.

I liked to trailer until the robots. Took a nose dive after that for me.

Will watch it at home some day.

I see they done some cg work on the much talked about "flinch" from the teaser when he got bopped in the head with a can, he no longer squints when it hits him.

I thought it was just his hair that didn't move as much.

Got to say that trailer was utter magic. That early moment when he switches from Clark to Superman just almost as good as Reeve. The body language and voice changed was great.

If you watch the original teaser he blinks\squints very noticeably when the can hits his nut at about the 1:38 mark.

I dont know.. It looks a bit much.
Like they have 101 flashy things going on but no substance to any of it.

We shall see I guess.
My thoughts too. The trailer looks incredibly busy with villains and enemies. Didn't do much for me apart from seeing the doggo.

My only worry is the sheer number of "things" in that trailer, otherwise I like the choice of actors and how their characters are portrayed.

Hopefully a success. James Gunn has a good record and DC desperately needs a consistent identity, so now's the time to get it right, especially with the utter trash that Marvel is producing.

I mean yes there is a lot but Gunn has shown he can handle multiple characters and complex plots well with the GofG films and The Suicide Squad films.

I'm hopeful it will be as good as the trailer seems. Lots of positive vibes around the trailer.

Yea, first thing I thought of was Suicide Squad, which had a lot but it was well paced.

Been ages since I've actually looked forward to a superhero movie.

I dont think they've shown too much really. We dont know where those scene come in the film and they were all mixed up.

It's also only 3 mins of a likely 2+hr movie.

With how movie trailers go these days combined with tv spots you'll probably be easily able to piece together an outline of what happens and when, and be pretty accurate. Not that I'll be going out of my way to view them but that's usually the trend with multiple trailers and you can get a good idea of how things will go.

So far the marketing has been clever at not really showing too much and only had 1 teaser and the main trailer. Mostly from all the same scenes.

I hope they stick to it, keeping it vague and light on actual footage or long sections of scenes.
