Superman: Legacy

Just saw the trailer where he’s being interviewed by Lois. Why does he come across like a petulant American jock by the end of it? Really strange.
‘Hey buddy, up here!’
My word.
Superman just wants to save people no matter where they are. Clearly the politics of the modern world are impacting him and he is frustrated with the red tape.

As he says people were going to die! Why should I need to asked the President for permission to go save people. Not petulance, just frustration at note being able to do the right thing and save lives and stop wars, without government interference. I'm glad they are touching on that subject though as it seems pretty relevant in today's world.

If Gunn has proved anything, its how to balance a decent amount of characters.

I will say though that as this is a Superman movie first and foremost I dont think the other characters will play as big a part as we might think. Mostly there to expand the world.

Watched the trailer multiple times now, I think I need to avoid any other remaining trailers or TV spots for the next month. So far the trailers don't give too much of the story away (imo) which I'm fine with.
It is a lot of characters, but I hope they will just give quick intros to most of them and then we can learn more about them in spinoffs/sequels etc.

Nicholas Hoult is gonna steal the show imo, Looks like a proper evil Luthor as opposed to the comedy ones in the past. Plus he's been on a bit of a run recently in Hollywood.

Never read any comics but I'm loving the scene where Green Lantern and Superman that says "make a move Big Blue", I can sense the intensity!

Edit: DC go to the effort of releasing their trailers in 4k. I wish Disney/MCU/Star Wars would do the same...

Way too much going on. Another poor lex.
Possibly a lot going on, in the trailer, but I think this is the best Lex since smallville. Gene hackman was too comedic as was Jesse eisenberg.

Hoult looks angry and evil, by comparison.

Edit: I've watched the latest trailer another 10 times on various different screens, in 4k

I get they are going for 3D but they didn't have to hit the camera like its there in the fight with them. My 1 gripe so far.
Glad it's not just me! After watching the trailer so many times I knew I'd find something to complain about

Agreed it would make a cool effect in 3d, albeit it's been ruined in the trailer already

Just acknowledging the camera is there is weird and makes me think of breaking the 4th wall superheroes which I generally dislike !

Could well be something they put together for the trailer just for giggles. Not like its unusual for things in trailers to not appear in the movie.

Along with the awful sound effect of them hitting the glass. Literally sounds like the were hitting the glass screen of an old TV.
