OMG I remember those in comics as a lad.

Pet her for me please!

Edit: You might want to edit that image if you're fussed, your reflection in the other monitor is showing.

I'm 67, I don't care :)
It was mentioned in the cat thread I think.

I did enjoy it, although I do still prefer Henry Cavill in the role. I thought the storyline was interesting in that it takes Superman in a new direction for me.

Having only watched the Superman movies I have no idea who the other "super" characters are or where they come from.

217million worldwide opening.

rp2000
Decent opening. Hopefully I can add to that tally this week! Been avoiding all spoilers or big reviews and just seen snippets of it being a mixed bag and a few people who enjoyed it but disappointed as it had the potential to be really good.

Watched this afternoon.
7/10 - overall really enjoyed it.

Nice to see some CGI that wasn't utter trash for a change and Corenswet nailed the vibe imo.
The reason I've docked 1-2 points is Lux Lethor, I hated the character and the way he was written.

The spoiled brat in puberty evil genius never translates well to the big screen and its a massive swing and miss for me here, every scene he's in is ruined simply by his presence imo.
Other than that, over all a decent start.

Think he’s the highest paid paid actor there also

Holy moly, really?
I mean I'm sure he's a fine actor with the right writing but the way he's protrayed in this just didnt work for me.

His motiviations, his demeanor and his general attitude just felt wrong to me.
He just didnt come across as someone a large bunch of folks would line up behind (even with all his money) yet thats how it was presented.

Can't be as bad as Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal surely? The guy came across as a crack fiend.

Totally disagree Nicolas Houlte Lex is probably the best Lex on screen out of them all imo. His motivates and behaviours primarily dictated by the script so can't really blame him for that but he played the part superbly. He was pretty evil and no joke imo.

That's a positive, I really didn't get on with Eisenberg at all. I enjoyed Michael Cudlitz in Superman and Lois, although I'm not entirely sure if he fit the role or not. Michael Rosenbaum was excellent in Smallville, probably the best live action version of him in my mind.

Hopefully Houlte lives up to to the role, looking forward to finding out (still waiting for it to hit streaming!).

They based the post 1986 Lex in the comics on Trump, Ted Turner, Howard Hughes and Satan. But spoiled brat in puberty jealous of someone else getting all the limelight fits true :D
