Ok, I've finally got everything put together in a new server build....but when I press the power button, it doesn't turn on. Last time I built a system I seem to recall there was a jumper pin that essentially allowed the system to be turned on....but can I find this jumper pin...no. I've read the manual for the motherboard numerous times now and I can't see what I'm missing.

The lights turn on on the PSU
There is a green light that is solid on the motherboard for around 10 seconds, then it turns to a blinking green
There is absolutely no sound at all anywhere, no signs of anything spinning up at all

Thoughts? What am I missing here?

Found this initial problem, the power switch jumpers were on pins 19-20 when they should have been on 1-2 at the other end. The manual was very confusing....

Anyhow, that has got the system powering up now.

Although I'm not getting anything visual when plugging a monitor in. When there is nothing plugged into the back of the machine, I'm getting a beep codes that sounds like..... Beep..........Beep .. Beep.......................Beep (this last one is in a different tone)

Again, looking through the manual, I can't seem to find information about what this beep codes means?

I also get a single beep when I plug in a USB device post-turning on, which I'm not sure what that means either? The lights on the keyboard/mouse light up though, so maybe these single beeps don't mean anything?

Disable onboard VGA with the jumper JPG1. Its right next to the COM port.

Do you have 1 or 2 CPUs? If 1 make sure you put your GPU in one of the bottom 2 slots.

Thanks for the info @ZXSpectrum - Not sure what the underlying problem actually was, but since last posting I've removed everything back to the bare bones then re-seated everything one component at a time and things work now. Not quite sure why as everything is in the exact same place that it was previously, but hey, it works. If I'd have to guess, it was likely something wasn't quite seated correctly which was causing issues.

Now onto the hypervisor / host OS piece.... more fun to come!

Nice one.. They can be a very finiky motherboard. Not as bad as Tyan though. Its our standard product and I have gained info from my colleague who pretty much specialises. Nice and stable when running though.
