Probably true but it's not like it makes a huge difference, couple of grams per serving if that. You could always buy unflavoured and add milkshake powder although that does add quite a bit of sugar.

Btw if you do actually order, do you think you could do me a favour and get a Pulse sample and post it to me? Would be much appreciated i'm trying to find out which pre workout is best to buy :)

Who here has tried MP Pulse and Jack3d? I'd just like to know your thoughts on them both as I'm looking for something to give me a kick up the backside as training is getting a lot harder.

In my opinion these products are best used in your final week of what ever training cycle you're using. Example if using HST then only use a focus booster from week 6 for last weeks of 5's. Or just use it for the 6th and final workout at the end of each 2 week rep cycle when lifting 100% rmx.

This would be the most beneficial way to use them. If you use all the time then they become less effective and less value for money as you won't want to train as hard without them.

There's also the downsides of using any kind of stimulants and possible effects on cortisol.
 
I don't agree with using them at fixed times, much better as and when you need imo. Like some days i'm super fired up for the gym anyway and don't need anything, others just need that little kick up the pants.
 
The DMAA content also means it wont be available to buy in the UK for much longer now MRHA have gotten their way.
 
Any thoughts on dextrose?

Thinking of adding it to my post workout shake w/ 2 scoops of whey.

I've come to the realisation that I don't carb in enough straight after a workout (well, at all..) until my evening meal some time later. With my workouts taking in excess of just over an hour, my muscles must be begging for some glucogen :D

Do it, carbs are an essential part of a Post workout shake, and dextrose is the cheapest and most common way of getting it

Hadn't realised how cheap it is!! how much serving should I go for in grams/scoops (in your opinion I mean, I see the recommended dosage on MP is 1 50g scoop after workout)
