How is it different? BCAA help the immune systems, muscle repairing, prevents the loss the muscle during training and it's got the medical uses to back it up?

Also I've seen far far more expensive supplements like that weight loss and muscle pump **** that doesn't help as much as BCAA's.

If it helps someone retain muscle mass when training and doing plenty of cardio or just helps them with recovery it's worth it if they can afford it.

Your argument can be made for exactly all supplements, they still have benefits and if for that person the benefits outweigh the cost it's worth it.

The point being, yes BCAAs have been shown to be better than nothing. But BCAAs have not been shown, as far as I know, to be significantly better than sufficient dietary protein intake (including whey powder which has a shed load of BCAAs in it already).

If you're eating a lot of protein, especially dairy based, you'll be getting more than enough BCCA intake, after which there is no measurable benefit. If however, you're dieting and/or not getting a lot of naturally occurring dietary BCAAs then maybe BCAA supps could be useful. They've also been shown to reduce appetite which lends a further benefit for dieting trainees.

I have been out of the scene as I haven't been able to train for a year, but someone at the gym who I have known for a while who swears by some stuff he got from USA called 'Kaizen Androbolic'.

It seems to contain:

19-Norandrostenedione 100 mg
4-Androstene-3, 17 diol 100 mg
5-Androstene-3, 17 diol 50 mg
Bulgarian Tribulus Terrestris (leaves) 250 mg
(Standardized at 45% steroidal saponins)
Chrysin 150 mg
Indole-3-Carbinol 50 mg
Saw Palmetto Extract 180 mg
Zinc (as monomethionine & aspartate) 30mg 7-isopropoxyisoflavone 50mg 5-methyl-7-methoxyisoflavone 25mg

is there anything good in here, or is he just talking rubbish?
 
So annoying when someone is doing some kind of SL 5x5 on the ONLY rack we have.

5x5 Squat
5x5 BOW
5x5 Bench
5x5 OHP
Then use the bar on said rack to do 5x5 DL

:(

Morba - I went with a friend at about 6 last night, the weights were in a DISGUSTING state, literally just all over the floor, about 1/5 of what is available actually on the rack, couldn't beleive it. F'd and blinded a few times in protest, but out of principle made sure me and my mate put all of ours away, so frustrating!

Why didn't you just work in with him? :confused:

Looks like it contains 3 different 'pro-hormones' (the confusing names at the top). It will definetely work and be quite potent, but you really need to research PH's more before you even consider using one.
Plus your not allowed to talk to them on here anyway :).
 
Re: the BCAAs. I bought a tub of Xtend for when I start this body transformation thing and am only going to use it on days when I go to the gym in the morning fasted, as per the Leangains approach, which won't be every workout as my shift pattern alters every week.

yeah - not sure what happened with my first order from MP.

Supposed to be delivered yesterday after getting dispatch email and tracking the day before - nothing arrived, nothing on the tracking details. Might email them and ask for cost of delivery back!

my order was with bulk orders not mp.
i wanted to try the choclate cookies flavour so many people keep raving about.

anyway my order came about an hour after the 1 hour slot i was given.

it tastes damn nice btw :D, nice big fat april 2015 expiry date btw on the bag :O

3 scoops is too much, read the label :p the scoop size has changed.

Lemon pretty much tastes like a lemon sherbet drink, the apple is very tasty!

On a note I got my 1.1kg tub today in the mail, should have gotten apple I think instead of another of watermelon :mad:

Anyway the dosage on two tubs vary.
Large tub says 1 scoop for every 10oz of water, where as the small tub says 1 scoop for 8oz of water. Hmmm

2.5 scoops does it for me in my water bottle as anymore is too sweet anyway.
