hey everyone i've been working out for a year now and im happy with the results, id like to start using a supplement just wondering which is likely to provide the best results, had a hunt on the bay of E and found some stuff called panoxides or something, any one had any experiences?

link

any supplements that you guys can recomend?

ta ;)

a nailed diet is the best way to fuel your body, however if you are pretty good with the diet then consider these 2:

protein
creatine (cycle)

those are the only 2 worth considering unless you are going hardcore and want to be absolutely ripped.

google panaxosides and realise that its basically ginseng.

I asked on another forum i visit what is the best protein shake about and most people on the thread recommended Mammoth 2000. The only thing is its quite sweet.

Don't waste your money on wonder supplements.

Do as suggested get a good quality whey protein & maybe creatine but most importantly get your diet & training right even real steroids won't help if those 2 aren't up to scratch.

I use Reflex Instant Whey with pretty good results.

What is the taste like on that stuff?, im getting sick of the mammoth stuff now.

I also get Kre-Alkalyn creatine, apparently it has all the benefits of creatine but non of the side effects plus theres no loading phase required.

I quite like the taste of Reflex Instant Whey its not too sweet, so far had choc, vanilla, strawb & choc orange.

Chocolate is my fave followed by Strawberry.

I use the vanilla for my breakfast shake mixed with milk, oats, natural yoghurt & frozen berries

I guess the Mammoth stuff is a sickly sweet weight gain type?

Had Choc, and banana... got a tub of mint choc that i'm starting on this week. So far have loved the choc and banana, and mixing the 2 is lovely.

cant say i have ever heard of side effects of creatine, also there is no loading phase needed for any creatine. people do load mono, but in all honesty there is no need (according to a few reports ive read, after 4 weeks the people who didnt load were at a same %age growth as people who loaded).

What the "CEE Creatine ester something or another" you bought "off the net"? Could be baking soda for all we know.

Hint: Buying supps from ebay is never a good idea imo

Cheers for the reply, i'll have to order some of that next time. Yes its too sweet for my liking, especially when you put 4 scoops in, its has 50 grams of protien and over 1000 cals per serving though.

are you talking about anabols as in steroids?

if so then be aware that supplying steroids in the UK is illegal, using them is not.
steroids should not even be thought about my 99.9% of people, that .1% that should, are at the physical peak of what their body can achieve from hard work and an excellent diet.

however, i think im starting to talk about an area which the mods would rather not be discussed, so we shall say no more.

advice for a beginner - nail your diet. a supplement is just that, a supplement. should not be a replacement. early in your weights lifetime you will get the most from having a complete diet that takes in as many of the nutrients as possible.
then maybe 6 months later, you could look at adding things like protein and creatine. some people will say use from the start, which i couldnt really argue with, but, personally i would rather see a beginner letting their body get used to the new movements and resistance, before adding any supplements.
CEE is good, wether you have bought something good from ebay is another thing tho. personally i would rather buy from a reputable business (onlline or shop) that others recommend rather than an ebay seller which has feedback from people who leave feedback when they receive an item, rather than when they have taken it and had some results from it!

I use no supplements whatsoever, i've tried protein powders, creatine etc in the past but found them useless to be honest.

As Morba says, nail the diet :)

So I had my health MOT at my local gym today. All great, except my cholesterol that was 5.17, just over the 5 'ideal' limit. Not great given my family history of cardiovascular disease. Could it be my myprotein shakes that has caused it to rise? I generally have some kind of chocolate flavour along with fully skimmed milk. I guess I need to eat more fruit and veg too.
