Suppliers Contract Lock Ending

I have Openreach fibre to the house, and my supplier is Zen. My contract is ending in two months. If I don't do anything, I will just remain on the same deal until I do.

At the moment, I am overpaying for my service, because it has a lifetime price-lock on it. I could get the same 300mps service for £4 pcm less from Zen, without the price lock.

But the thing is, I am not sure if I even want that service, because I don't really use it. I would probably be better off with the £9 a month less 100mps.

Zen have always been really miserable with me, never offering any kind of special deal, despite being a customer of theirs for many years. That of annoys me, and these days their service doesn't seem that special either.

Anyway, what has been happening to prices of late? Is "price for life" worth hanging on to, or are prices just going to go down anyway?

I know I asked this question before, but a lot seems to have changed since then!
