Hi Am wondering if anyone no s or has tried using a nvidia gtx 580 at 120hz, as when i read Technical reference guide in my gainwood manual its maximum it states is 85hz on dual link dvi

Reason i am asking is i am looking at 120hz monitors and i want to make sure the cards are compatible, as i dont want it to only support 85hz it would seem a waste

Also do you need a special dvi cable as at moment am using either hdmi or dvi to hdmi adaptors in gpu and hdmi in monitors

All nvidia cards from 8xxx onwards support 120hz. I wouldn't go down the ATI route as I had a 5870 and getting it to run 120hz properly on an LCD was a nightmare, nvidia on the other hands seems to do it flawlessly
