Never said it was hard, said it was hard to stay mentally focused, i.e. it's boring as hell. Are you saying manual labour is hard?
It can be, depends on the labour involved.
Saying 'manual labour' is easy, is a bit of a broad statement

anyway its only a matter of time before the highly skilled foreigners start coming over and taking your highly paid jobs from you because they will work for cheaper.

well we were talking builders, people on a building site probably carrying heavy things , pushing wheel barrows etc.
not someone in a warehouse with one those phenumatic trolleys moving around pallets like they way almost nothing.
You seem to completely ignore the fact that this hard days graft that you're doing in the office is paid considerably more and has a lot more benefits.
As is saying "office work" is easy. But nah, lets denigrate that because real men should be doing heavy lifting and earning an honest pittance rather than having to use their brains.
Hm, not sure if your having a dig there or what....I wasen't saying office work is easy either
As I used to work for an IT company.
The first half was aimed at you, the second sentence at those that seem to think only manual labour is hard graft.![]()
Volunteers are exactly that, people work to survive.
If you get paid for the work you do then a hard day in the office for double or triple the pay compared to manual work then i cant really see how you can argue that its just as hard, its easier to persist doing it if you get more of a reward at the end.
and where did i say office work wasnt hard? i said what i did was the easiest job i've ever had and comparing the office type jobs i can get to the physical jobs i can get then trying to tell me "office work is hard" is laughable.
Why are you comparing high paid and stressful office work to low paid labour?
shame your a bit of a nob
Ok, please, tell me what office job i could do that would be comparable to a days work on a building site, they all pay the same (almost)
if you compare all the sectors, retail, customer service, manual labor and office work i can say without a doubt which one is the hardest.
