A friend runs a small lan (20-30 people) twice a year, for some reason the one organised for march is struggling a bit for numbers. It's only £20 for the weekend (bring your own pc job) it has kitchen & toilet facilities and if you want to stay over it has space for airbeds/sleeping bags.
Sponsors from local companies provide prizes, gaming competitions are held over the weekend. Also gamebeast is there for the weekend, some truck thing with a load of xboxes linked up for system link play:
I think he normally just about breaks even on the events, he just does it as he enjoys the whole gaming experience.
