Supreme Commander 2 Crashing

Ive been playing SC2 just as a noob but Im getting annoyed with the amount of times it has crashed. I run it through Steam and it seems like every time I zoom into units to get a closer look att he battle it freezes and crashes me to the homescreen. Ive tried lowering the graphics all the way down but it doesnt seem to work.
Heres my system Specs;
Windows 7 64bit
Core i3 2120 3.3 GHz
8GB RAM
GeForce GTX 460

If anyone knows why this is happening and whats going on Get back to me please!

You done "Validate the Integrity of your Game Cache"?

Select the Game inside of Steam and select properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
