Huh? Which AI needs to be renamed for playing Online?
I've not really gone online, but I'd have thought that AI shouldn't even come into it?

And personally, Sorian And duncain's AIs are both much better than the original ones. Not perfect, they are still beatable 1v1, but its a much closer game.
 
Ermm it mentioned it in the post for Sorian AI. It said it wasn't compatible with the mod manager so you can to manually remove / disable it for online play unless both players have it.
 
Can you connect it to Steam and play it from there then? Seems a good idea if you can as it removes the bane of a gamers life - disc...

Impulse is stardocks version of a steam style system.

basically it's just like steam but visually different and not as many people use the community stuff.
 
Sorry think I didnt explain myself - since its digitial without disc, can you go into Steam and add it as a 'Non-Steam game' and then load it via Steam as if it was a Steam game (because it needs no disc and Impulse doesnt need to be pre-loaded).

Seems a good way to get a Steam-like experience (doubt you could tell the difference) without buying it directly from Steam (as its cheaper on Impulse).

exited and closed impusle and added FA to steam list from the thq folder and it works.

Although the pop up for the steam overlay appears it wont open when you press shift + tab not sure if that's because it might bean ingame combination too though.

FA greatly improved the game especially by making mass fabricators less usefull and later in game so you are forced to go out and capture/control res points and recycle more.

lots of other nice changes too.
