Supreme Commander No Sound

Hi all,

Just recently got this game (the first one 2007) installed fine patched to latest version, Game runs fine but no sound at all.

my system specs

Win7 ULT 64bit
XIFI xtreme audio - latest drivers
8800gt SLi - latest drivers

I have tried Alchemy but still no sound, I am using the optical output of the SC.

machine was only reinstalled last week anyone experienced this?

Tried the onboard sound or 3.5mm jacks anyway? That way it narrows it down to software. I think there might be a soundcard option somewhere.

Also, disable the onboard in BIOS if you have not already!

There is no onboard sound due to the mobo being an MSI P7 Diamond the soundcard is supplied with the mobo. will try the jacks on the soundcard in a mo to see if it's the optical but i'm pretty certain it's not due to the optical being only 2 channel

EDIT: 3.5mm jacks work fine

So it just has one soundcard? It must be to do with selecting the primary output to the optical, might be in sound options or volume mixer perhaps?
