Supreme commander tips

a quick question. my game is running fairly smooth i.e it scrolls across the screen without jumping etc, but whenever i see an enemy unit (even just ONE unit) it looks as though the unit is frame skipping, even though my screen is still scrolling smoothly.  any answers available? cheers

Your CPU is probably overloaded. Zoom in on a mass extractor and see if the animation is smooth. If not, your CPU is maxxed out and having to take shortcuts to keep calculating the AI etc. Easiest solution is to slow the game down a notch or two, as that should fix it.

The mass extractor is running smooth, and making the appropriate noises even when im zoomed right into it. That is at normal game speed. :/ Mind you, i have a single core cpu. so i guess its time to upgrade.

Could just be a vertical synch issue :) Turn it on in the Settings and see if that fixes it - but you'll probably get a frame-rate drop :)

Don't select anything and CTRL + number the unit you want to disband

I think he wants to know how to destroy/self destruct the unit instead of unassigning it's group. In Total Annihilation it was CTRL + D, but I think it's something like CTRL + SHIFT + DEL in this game...

tried that, no luck unfortunately..i guess there is some settings i could maybe change that will stop it happening. it doest really bother me but like some of their ships pop on screen one second then disapear the next kinda gets annoying as your torpedo launchers are shooting things i cant see, oh well.

what video card/drivers are you using? Is it overclocked? Could just be artefacting or something like that :)

There is a thread about that... more then likely the french trying to oppose there language on us... because they have had to accept english words in the french dictionary, that must hurt :)

Stelly

Do you not think we have lots of their words too in our dictionary?
