supreme ruler 2010 - how hard...

Gave this game to my dad as a Xmas gift as he loves these types of games.

Saw him this weekend and he almost threw the box at me saying its the hardest game or anything in life he has ever tried to do... He is beginging to think its a joke game lol... even the manual took him 3 days to get his head around...

Anyone else play it, whats the best way for him to get started and is it really a steep learning curve for this game?

looks interesting, theres Supreme Rule 2020 avaliable too by the looks of it, but not retail yet.

Well, just to ward you, its not a game you can jump right into by the looks of it. seems to be very intense, but a very interesting game, going to give it a go this weekend and see what it is like.
