Can you tell me if its worth keeping my X-fi sound card in my new motherboard or use the SupremeFX II that come with the Asus Rampage Formula.

The SupremeFX II looks like it uses some form of pci-e would this be more of a benefit to me.
I have posted this in the sound card thread but no one has answered

Thanks

Your X-fi sound card may be better sound wise, but if you need the space then stick with the motherboard one.

The SupremeFX cards are simply an onboard chip on a separate card. ASUS ran out of space on the motherboard for it. It will sound good, but not as good as the X-Fi. You also won't get EAX 3 or above on the SupremeFX card. Depending on who makes the audio chip on it you may get EAX 1 & 2 emulation.
