SupremeFX X-Fi Audio Card problem

Just purchased Asus Crossfire3 which comes with a SupremeFX X-Fi Audio Card
win7 64bit
when i run creative audio console, and clicking "trial" i get this error.
"The Audio devicee supported by this application is not detected. the application will exit"
once it does see it, i need to find as it is asking for activation/evaluation Key?
shouldnt i get a copy with key with it as i cant find it on the Asus disc.

the key should be printed on the paper case that the software dvd came in

yep I have the same problem, gave up on it in the end, just gonna buy a proper soundcard at some point. The annoying thing is that sound works thru the card just cant use any of the software with it.

one thing to check tho, on the sound card there are 2 screws that hold the backplate on, on mine the bottom screw contacts with a resistor on the mobo, poor design. Worth checking yours and if it does aither loosen the screw till it doesnt or like I did take it out completely.
