just run the sc performance test and and pc came back with a score of 14757 with all settings on high and no overclocking. just interested to see what the new intels can pull off

You mean /map perfTest?

If so, lower is better, and the pcs I've seen have been getting between 65 and 200.

They changed the perftest in the patch before last, i think.

Anyway, I can't really give you an AMD/Intel comparison as I have a 8800GTX, but i get 17030 at 1920x1200 4xTRAA, 16xAF, all settings on high with the rig below.

higher is better as of the first patch.

mine currently scores around 15400 with all medium settings, AAx2 vsynch on.

in your shortcut for SupCom add "/map perftest" without the speachmarks to the target line. the test is then run at whatever settings you have your game set to and gives you a score at the end.

so my amd chip at standard easly keeps up with c2d, i think i'll buy vista oem and stick with my 939 board thanks for putting ** results up
