Yep, apparently he's been walking for three hours a day on a treadmill and living on mainly slushies.

Is this ultimately going to rival Christian Bale's turn in The Machinist?

nothing will beat christian bales weight loss and weight gain. he went to about 8/9stone by eating just an apple and tin of tuna each day for months.

then he pretty much doubled it for his next role which was batman. guys got dedication!

Bale went from 185lbs to 122lbs to look like he 'had not slept for a year' and did it by cutting out most foods and relentlessly exercising.

Well i suppose with the amount of money they are getting paid they dont have a problem doing it...i know i wouldnt...id starve myself for a few hundred k's...

It does impress me that these actors and actresses can change their body shape so drastically so quickly - obviously very driven people when you consider how hard it is for us normal folk to just maintain a heathly shape!

But then again you realise 1) they have personal trainers and dieticians and 2) Do nothing but this 'training' preparing for their movie role.

I'd love to see them do the same by reading some dieting posts on a forum and working 9 hours a day.

Eating very little and doing a lot of cardio will strip weight off very quickly. As in a half a kilo a day is readily achievable. I managed 78 to 70.5 in a 11 days to make weight for a race, then rowed incredibly badly (I blame glycogen depletion).

It's not unreasonable, just very unhealthy

I would love to have his big build, and would love to know if he manages to get it all back, and also exactly how!
