2 months outside warranty and the thing won't turn on..

I've tried the hot start (press + and - Volume button simultaneously 3 times), and the reset functions but nothing.. The light on the power clip is on..

I've raised a ticket with MS but they want a staggering £480 with out even seeing it.

Has anyone else had similar issues or had a Surface pro repaired..?

Any ideas?

MS customer support charge £29 just to speak to someone.. What a rip off..

Odd, came on for about 10 minutes then went off again.. My guess it definitely going to sleep and unable to wake up.

I managed to get mine going.. well a work colleague did but when the battery went got the same problem. So it's confirmed dead. Rip off. I cringe when I see Surface ads on the telly.
