surface pro 2 or a proper laptop

I cant see the 3 being much better than the 2, I mean, what else can they do next?
Perhaps it comes with 8Gb standard and under the kickstand a slot for a RAM upgrade?
SIM Slot.
Lighter.
4k screen.
Lighter higher capacity battery.
Built in Kinect type device.
CPU/SSD speeds will just increase as manufacturers do their thing.

we have been rolling out surface pro 2s here at work with 8.1 enterprise and 512 SSD they are really good but takes a little bit of getting used to, feed back has been good.
1 thing to take on board is when you press the power button it goes to sleep but is still runing and get really hot when its in a bag.

Can you not change the settings so the power button sends the tablet into hibernate?

in addition to the kickstand which can be held at any angle?

I think if they go any further with the kickstand it'll weaken the stand itself.

I can see some sort of design where it kicks out and then can move similar to the Dell XPS 18 hinge.

Get a laptop with a touchscreen. You could probably get one with a good DGPU for not much more than the SP2
