I've been fairly interested in this tablet/laptop, however I'm not really seeing much interest from within these forums. How come I can't see a single thread about the Surface Pro 3 within the past 10 pages?

When looking on Google, there's also very limited shops in the UK that supply it aswell, and the price varies a fair bit. It seems like its cheaper to get it imported from the US?

Is it just an overpriced tablet/laptop hybrid and there's just better out there?

What's the deal? :D

We ordered three of them over two months ago, our supplier keeps telling us that they're in constraint we have no idea when we'll receive them. We received the docking stations and covers a month or so ago.

Given the apparent supply issues, I'm not surprised there's very little discussion on it.

In my perspective they are slightly overpriced and having owned a i7 vaio tap11, ( personally) I would prefer a traditional laptop. The market these laptops are aimed for I would imagine are quite limited. I found myself preferring a lighter tablet for just surfing the internet and video so on and a traditional laptop for working on than this all in one solution. My tap11 is about the same weight as the surface pro 3(a little lighter actually) and it got quite annoying holding it for long duration, even though at the time this was the lightest full windows tablet/full computer around. I definitely prefer the weight of the ipad air, almost effortless to hold.

But the form factor of the surface pro 3 is definitely better for productivity for what used it for anyway. I may pick up one from america in few months time when the refurbished and much cheaper start to appear on a certain auction sidte, but at the current price they are not worth it for me anyway.

Can you not order these from the UK microsoft store?

to conclude a Laptop + lighter 10" tablet ( for books, ect) >> than surface pro 3 type tablets computers.
