Surface Pro windows based Alternatives

I need to buy three tablets within the next week so must be available now. They will be used primarily for work (Microsoft Office, full version, MapPoint, Photoshop (very occasional)) but also when we travel for entertainment, giving presentations (with Pico projector we have) etc.

The Surface Pro is what we really want but we need to buy now.

Are there alternatives which would work well for us? Preferably detachable keyboard but one that is serviceable for working on.

We all have desktops as well and larger laptops so a nice light form factor is important. Stylus would be nice but not essential. Full windows 8 rather than RT is essential. Would like specs somewhere about Surface Pro or higher.

Ability to play a few games would be nice for me (but my colleagues wouldn't care about this).

Not budget constraint for quality (don't want something diamond encrusted and aimed at the Saudi market, but within normal reason we are happy to pay high end for something good).

So what are our options? If we have to wait for Surface Pro so be it, but could really do with buying before our financial year ends.

Oddly enough I've been looking for something similar myself, just this morning, the closest alternative I've seen so far is the Samsung series 7 ATIV Smart PC Pro, bit more expensive, and doesn't look quite as good, but it is available.

I'm looking mostly for something with a decent stylus/digitizer to use like a cinteq so there are probably better without that.

I did find a UK supplier for the surface pro, but I think they'd be classed as a competitor of OcUK.

Have ordered surface pros :) anyone know whether keyboards are interchangeable between rt and pro and us and uk versions? IE Can we buy uk layout RT touch or type covers?
