Surfing OcUK with a slow speed?

Hi all

Just wandering where is the problem that OcUK webpage is so slow to respond.

I am using Firefox, I assume is the flash the webpage used as background is slowing my speed?

Anyone know how to fix the problem? So I can click the page more smooth?

That's actually done with JavaScript not flash, it could cause a slow down in some cases. What is actually slow? Is it the loading of the pages or just scrolling down the page?

It caused Firefox really slow, as you said is a Java problem? is that Firefox not compatible with Java script good enough?
 
You could try disabling JavaScript and seeing if that resolves the problem, if it does then it's probably the snow.
 
yep, problem solved, snow is gone, speed is up,thanks

but also like to ask, is there any other option other than disable Java Script?

because I assume not everyone disabled it, right?
 
Well now you know it is JavaScript causing the problem you might be able to figure out a workaround. What browser are you using and is your computer very old?

I am running FireFox 3.5 and have no problems with OcUK. If you are using FireFox and also get the slowdown then you can make use of an addon called NoScript to disable JavaScript on OcUK only.
