Hi, iv been booked into having a surgical treatment for a very long time and now finally my time has come to have one of my organs sorted out but they have now cancelled the surgery twice. (NHS)

Its causing a real nightmare for people who depend on me, and also at work I keep booking holidays off and then having to cancel them. Its a real nightmare and my bosses at work are getting slightly frustrated about this.

Where do I stand if they keep on cancelling my surgery, can they not refer me to a private clinic if they are too busy with other emergency cases?

Look forward to the reponses, TIA

Think about,

How urgent is the operation?

Will things be worse if you leave it longer before having the operation?

Is the operation going to relieve you of pain or discomfort from whatever you have a problem with and make your life better?

Hi, sorry for the late reply...

Cant the NHS refer me to a private clinic themslves and them lot pay for it aswell, as i dont have any heath insurance. It would cost too much to do the op privately.

I do get a lot of pain, so this op will reliev me of that pain im getting and also the longer its left untreated the kidneys will go on to deteriote and they may have to take it out if it stops functioning all togeather.

Also i start my final year of uni soon, and that being worth 2/3 of my whole degree classification...its pretty important. So taking into conderation of the recovery time (4 weeks) i should be back at uni in november. But already this has been too much time taken off. If i perform rubbish in my final year i dont have the option to retake it, and even if i did ill be capped by marks, and nto to mention the extra £3k wasted.

So not sure if i should take the year off or not. What are your thoughts?
