Just wanted to post some positive feedback about my GPU RMA experience.

I've had a Inno3D 980ti X3 for about 10 month and was playing Witcher 3 and my screen went black and my PC crashed. Booted it back up but when it loaded windows the screen went black again. Anyway to cut a long story short I determined it was a the GPU, open a ticket with Overclockers and sent it back. Overclockers confirmed the GPU was faulty and sent it back to the manufacturer and said it could be up to 28 days before they hear anything.

Anyway a month goes by , I have an old 670GTX and have been mainly playing indie games recently so wasn't desperate for a replacement, and a parcel arrives at my house. I open it and much to my surprise I find a Asus Strix 1080 inside. It is listed as a B Grade item and has been opened, however it's working perfectly. Thanks Overclockers another very satisfied customer. :D

Out of interest does the manufacturers warranty still apply to B Grade items?

I RMA'd a PowerColor Devil 270x last year and waiting a month before chasing.

OcUK sent me an MSI 290 Gaming as a replacement straight away. Probably a B grade but boxed up and looked like new and is still going strong. :)

Reasons like this is why I will not shop anywhere else, regardless of the premium.

Yeah customer service is the reason why I buy my stuff, if some company screws me over I will never buy their product new again. So far on my list is XFX/Razer and Roccat. Overclockers have been good to me in the past so I will always feel confident with buying here, same with Evga, RMA experience was excellent with them.

Yea 3 months with OcUK and what ever remaining warranty with manufacturers. Not bad really.

That's quite good seeing as your 980Ti would not be worth half of a 1080 Asus Strix lol. If there wasn't a 1070 in bgrade surprised they didn't replace it with that tbh.

Well done,to yourself, and OCUK too, nice to hear a success story, and future OCUK customers may come across your post, and be confident of getting good customer service should the need arise.

Maybe the new boy was put on the returns :D /s

Think you get 3 months on B grade... Not sure though.

its an RMA replacement - he'll have whatever the remainder was on the original product, so a bit more than 2 years remaining
but its still effectively a 980ti warranty, so if the 1080 fails they don't have to replace it with a 1080 either

you won't get manufacturers warranty on the 1080 as there's no proof of purchase for the 1080
