Surprising "benchmark" result. Can you explain?

Are you thinking about the old way to install Windows 2000 ?

My first ever look at windows 2000 was doen by installing with 4 ( IIRC ) floppies and then about a fortnight of it getting the files off the CD to install ?

God knows why but the first Windows 2000 setup CD I had took the best part of a whole day to install.

It was a hookie disk though, and I put it down to that.

I later bought Win2K SP2 and that was bootable and I never looked back.
 
No...what I was saying was that I've never owned W2K. (I skipped it)

'98 needed floppies to install...and that I will not be bothering with ;)
