In my experience, not at all. I have Medusa 5.1's and they bite majorly. I don't use them for 5.1 anymore, would rather play with my z5500s on quiet than these things at normal volume. Basicly, they don't work very well. I wish they did but that's it. However, I think it may be a little less cut and dry than that as some people say they're brilliant. But if you want my advice, steer clear, waste of money.

I have Medusa 5.1 running through a Audigy 2. Whilst the bass is good and stereo seperation in games better than my plantronics headset was. The true 5.1 experiance is not even close to that of a proper speaker 5.1 setup. However I would still recommend them as a set of headphones. Going from onboard sound to Audigy 2 made a big differance. I like them.
