Funny enough I was looking at those Canton 101's yesterday on AVforum......but having never heard of them :o didn't bother reading up on em.

That makes them about the same price as the Kef ones yes?......also are they silver only?

Looks like that lot will cost me around £500-£600..........what was my initial budget when I asked the question

The CD1s are great, I have no doubt the 101s are as good if not better, the guys over there seriously rate them, I love mine, they are descrete and make a good noise for the size. I LOVE KEF but I'd buy these over the 'eggs' everytime. Couple those with a Denon and you have the makings of a great litle living room system, I use a Marantz SR5400 with mine and it drives them very nicely.

Don't be put off by the sub, it looks a little bit cheap but the depth is very suprising for the size.

I am tempted.............but believe it or not I have just tracked down a Denon DHT 1356XP for £265.00 if I want it  ..........not sure what to do now.

A guy from Peter Tysons just called me re an enquiry I made last week and he recommended I took a look at the EFX 5.1...........it is getting all a bit confusing.

Anyone rate these?.

Think of it this way. Sure it's a lot of money to spend now, but actually you're not going to have to change that system for a very long time, whereas you might have to change components in a cheaper system in the near future because you're not satisfied with it.

I said the same thing to my father earlier this evening when discussing it with him. ;)

I have sent the guy a PM on the AVForum re the Canton C101's and searched the net for the prices for the Denon 1906.........cheapest I could find was £273.95.

I bought a Denon 1906 amp and Canton Movie 150QX speaker set from the guy on AVForums.

I highly recommend both of them! :D

How much if you don't mind me asking ;)
