Hi guys

I'm looking to get decent headset for my PS3. Mainly because the speakers on my TV are rubbish and the sound for games these days is so good I need something decent to listen to it. Also my bluetooth earpiece thingy is also rubbish for chatting to friends while on BF3/MW etc.

I've seen 'Turtle Beach Ear Force Universal Gaming Headset Bundle DPX21 with Dolby Surround Sound' for £104. What are these like? Are they pretty much the best ones to get?

The only thing thats putting me off slightly is the fact they are not wireless and I would have to have a wire trailing across the floor :(

Around £100 is my budget.

Which one's better the turtle beach or the Astro :p?

edit: Do you mean the 'Tritton AX Pro: Precision Gaming Headset with Dolby 5.1 True Surround Sound'?

I dont know to be honest lol I would say Astros but I dont know if you would be better with the A40s, I got the A30s that come tomorrow as I will use for movies etc 2 when everybody is alseep lol (better base etc where the A40s are just for gaming and used by pro gamers).

Go on youtube and see what you think is best, or wait and see what other people post.. You will need to buy the addon PC/PS3 Cable tho that costs around £7.

soz mate I thought they was cheaper (was looking at headset only) you may want to check youtube for DPX21 going by a quick look they seem to break.

Everything breaks if you don't look after it :D

I can;t find anything else thats just as good as the dpx21's though.

What about these? Tritton PX Pro (clicky

I have Turtle Beach x41's and they are awesome especially with games like MW2 and Black Ops even if the enemy has the ninja perk you can hear them sneaking about and accurately pin point distance and direction. They have saved me countless time from getting stabbed in the back. They work well on games like Forza too. I often sit and blast a film out in surround sound while not disturbing the rest of the street and with the new model comming out these headsets should drop to a reasonable price. I paid £165 for these bad boys a few months back. The only thing to remember is to by some decent rechargable batteries and charger.
