Surround Sound Splitter Cable

Hi,

I've noticed Turtle Beach do a Surround Sound Splitter Cable so that you can have your 5.1 speakers and 5.1 headphones connected at the same time (http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/cables.aspx).

I just wondered if you could already buy these in a different make, or is it turtle beach only?

Also, do you think it would affect the quality of the sound by using a splitter of this kind?

mappers will sell you splitters if that is all you are after,can`t comment on how it will affect the quality though
i have a set of Medusa's and on the headphone amp you have a pass through for your sound system too
