Surround sound

Hi. I'm looking at getting surround sound for my PC. I have these headphones

and an onboard Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound.

Do I need to buy a new sound card or is the little black USB thing the headset comes with (image 2) a sound card itself?

Those 777's have surround sound. The little USB thing is the sound card.
