Morning all,
I'm just looking through responses to a couple of questionnaires that have just closed and playing around with what Survey Monkey can do.
The text analysis tool is shockingly bad! Now, I am aware it is not specifically designed for qualitative analysis, but why offer this service when it's so appalling?
The questionnaires are for healthcare students, so they wrote what their specific area of study was (a tick list was not an option). SurveyMonkey lists the '5 most important words and phrases' which are each mentioned three times...things like nursing, radiography etc...
Medicine is mentioned 16 times, but it's not in the list! This keeps happening for the words which are actually mentioned most often in all of the text analysis.
Anyone have any idea what's going on, or is it just a crap tool?
Hugh
