Just been browsing IGN & came across this little beauty...

http://wii.ign.com/articles/721/721396p1.html

Sounds like just the game to silence all the "Nintendo are for kids" comments ;)

Details still pretty sketchy & not due until Q4 2007 but deffinitley one to look forward to, this could be the next big step in gaming for totally immersing you in the world & it makes me glad that I'll only be buying a Wii & completley avoiding the 360 & PS3 now

Oh & make sure you downlad the free music sample...it's fantastic :)

I like the idea.. hope they pull it off! Psychological horror sounds good for the head :D The bit about picking anything up reminded me of Shenmue.. although there was no point in doing it a lot of the time... 'Ooh a jar!' *waves it around*

Been following this game for a few months now.

Should be good unless they mess it up completely :)

Although the video of "in-game" footage doesn't exactly make it look brilliant :(

looks ok... still hate the idea of the controller though.

cant you just use the other controller they're making ? The one that is like the SNES one but with analogue sticks? Unless im talking drivvle :D

no idea, but i hope so because the "wiimote" has got gimmick written all over it.

Maybe wait till you actually use it to pass any judgment? You might find its the best controller you have ever used.

How unbelievable short sighted of you. Is the DS a gimmick too? (hint: the answer is a very obvious no)

^--- gotta love to hate him :)

But seriously, as everyone else has said, give the Wii a chance. I gotta admit that I'm in the group of people that are sceptical that the controller will handle FPS very well, but then again I said that (and have been converted) about a controller.

Just have to wait and see won't Wii, just over 15 wiiks to go.

The ignorant will never be silenced.

Aye. Eternal Darkness and the entire Resident Evil series didn't help the Gamecube, even with ED and RE being released early in the console's life. I think unless we see GTA on the Wii, people will always see Nintendo as kid's-games peddlars.

Resident Evil 4 is on the Gamecube... that didn't stop those type of comments, because there is a lot of truth in them arguably.

(just noticed the above post made the same point :p)

I'm quite sure it won't be as good as conventional controllers, I really don't see how it possibly can be. It is a gimmick as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe, but you wont actually know until you've tried one.

I'll have to go by other people's comments as it's highly unlikely I'll ever buy a Nintendo console due to the type of games that are - and aren't - on it.

Ah right, using that method of forming an opinion again then? ;)

You don't always need to experience something first hand to have a good idea of what it would be like.

If I told you my car did 0-60 in 15 seconds, and you then said "my god that is slow" I wouldn't be able to say "you can't comment until you've driven it" would I :)

(no my car isn't that slow thank god :p)
