Is linux really worth swapping to as im a complete beginner and run quite a lot of windows based apps, but I also hear that linux is the way forward and that is more stable and reliable than windows.

Hmmmm... i see, well i use, Steam for my games like css and hl2, photoshop cs2 i also use it but i think there something called gimp or something for linux but it isnt the same as photoshop so i really need photoshop and ventrilo for my gaming and general chatting too.

im no hardcore gamer, lol but i do have an eye for smoothness none the less, but thanks for tips

So would ubuntu be better for beginners then?
