Hi, I need some advice, on what I think is a suspected rat hole.
I have unearthed it after cleaning/tidying up my g/friends garden recently. She noticed rats last year, when she heard the scratching sounds in the loft space, and when her pet cat started bringing a couple in and eating others.
She has had pest control out who put bait in the loft, and kept refilling over several weeks. I have been leaving bait outside, where I have noticed the cat lurking around. She was far into pregnancy around that time. The bait kept disappearing, and since the sound has ceased, and the cat hasn't been so lucky on the rat hunt.
My problem is, that the hole I unearthed, appears to be deep. I've tried filling it with stones, but they just seem to keep falling in.
What would be the best way of filling in this hole, that appears to follow the foundations. Should I seek a professional builder?
