Windows ak manager. Processes.
Is there a definite list of stuff NOT to shut down?
I want to run mark06 with as little running as possible. I know if i shut some stuff down it wont come back up when i reboot.

EDIT : Sorry for the miss spelling of shutting.

The PC? :P

TBh I wouldn't close things down in an effort just to increase one's 3DMark06 score. It wouldn't be a true representation of what your PC is capable of, unless you shut down everything before you start a game, or do any demanding task.

Just install it, and run it. Overclock for better results.

Since installing games and the like on my hard drive 3dmark06 has gone down over 100 points. I was just going to see what happens when i shut down all none necessary processes.

Shutting down processes isn't going to make any difference... unless you have a rather invasive virus scanner or something like that - which would make a huge difference to your score...
