Suzuki swift owners - tyre size

Picked up a 1.3 Suzuki Swift for the wife yesterday and looking to change the tyres but the current size (195/45/17) is quite limited. I believe the Swift Sport also has the same size and have read owners using 205/45/17 or 205/40/17. Just wondering what you lot are using.

Best tyres I can find at the moment at its current size is either the Continental SC3 or the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3.
 
Not sure of the name, but it's the stock ones from the Attitude.

I do like Goodyear tyres (have the F1 AS2 on my ST220), but heard the GSD3 are quite old now so thought there might be something better. How are you finding them?
 
I've found them great, Just due a change. They are old though you are correct.

How much were the SC3? I know Goodyear do a AS2 in 205/40/17 but not sure where they are stocked and how much they cost.

Apparently they also do the AS2 in 195/45/17, (Goodyear site) Just not seen them any where for sale. Wonder if the new Swift sport has the same wheel size and comes with AS2's. hhhhmmm

Yeah can't find anywhere stocking the AS2 in the 195/45/17 size, otherwise I would be all over it.

Best price I've found for the SC3 is 108 quid.
 
Yeah me either, Just checked on their site and apparently they are made in the size.

For the wife in a 1.3 swift I'd think the GSD3's would be more than enough. Saving over a £100 on the cost of the SC3's

I'd be interested in the AS2's if you find them in 195 or 205 anywhere. otherwise I will more than likely just replace like for like on my sport.
 
Think I'll go with the Eagle F1 GSD3. I'm sure they will be fine seeing as they are the tyres that come with the Swift Sport from factory.
