So need a cheap 4x4/AWD car, Nissan Juke out as I don't fit in it, too tall, not fat!
Needs to be Petrol & automatic, Diesels seem to be seen by Transport Minister as dirty.
Looking at a Vitara S, but has anyone got a Vitara and what are they like to drive?

Don't have one but I do like them for some reason.

They certainly review reasonably well. Sorry, not adding much but I'd see them as a viable more practical maybe cheaper alternative to the Juke

My mate has a brand new vitara. Does not look that much bigger than a normal hatch back. Has a few modern gadgets on it though which I thought was decent considering how much the car costs.

I work at a Suzuki dealer so may be able to answer any questions you have.
They drive just like any other small SUV to be honest, there isn't really anything bad to say about the way they drive but there isn't anything that stands out as good either. Its just a bit boring really.
The Vitara S is the one to go for though as it has the best engine and looks slightly better.
For the price i really don't think it can be beaten when you compare the spec with other cars of that category.

Only negative i can give it is the entertainment system which can be very unresponsive at times making it frustrating to use.
