SVG files opening in illustrator and Mavericks

Hi

I seem to have an issue where SVG files wont open (comes up with an unknown error [can't]) in Adobe illustrator when the machine is on Mavericks, it worked fine on other versions of os x.

I've tired it on CS5.5 and CS6 but with the same error.
