svhs tapes in vhs equipment

Basically I need to purchase the highest quality 60 minute vhs tape I can get my hands on before this weekend. Will a SVHS tape work in a VHS recorder?

I will be recorded something as a master on normal VHS equipment to viewed on normal VHS equipment, but want the best possible quality tape.

Went for a FUJI E180 SXG PRO tape at almost a fiver - standard VHS - it will be taped on a medical scanning machine so better being 100% sure it will work I suppose.
