Hello.
I'd recently noticed some interference appearing on my LCD TV when using the svideo out connection from my PC. Oddly enough it does not occur when I use the svideo to connect to my old CRT TV. Because of that, I always suspected a faulty svideo connector on the LCD TV.
It was particularly bad the other night while I was watching a film, and for some reason I decided to try switching off the external usb HD I store all my films on. Low and behold a perfect picture. Switched it on again, and there was the interference again! So having the external HD switched on is causing interference. I tested switching it on and off many times, and even different usb ports.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
The MB PSU QUAD are pretty new. I never had this problem before. I'm stumped to why it only occurs on the LCD and not the CRT.
The LCD TV is about 7-8 meters away from the PC and HD, so not exactly close at all.
The external is a enermax caddy with a maxtor diamondmax HD inside it.
