It looks like we are having a new Star Wars game to be released next year. Its called The Force Unleashed, and sounds like it will be DX10.

The story takes place between Episode III and IV, with Darth Vader taking a secret apprentice that would one day take over his role and probably even replace Emperor Palpatine. This story will show an uncertain side of Darth Vader that was present during Episode III and in the end of Episode VI, his belief that his life is wasted serving dark side of the force. Redemption is the key aspect, but you will of course, be able to choose will you turn into a knight of light side, a Jedi or will join the ranks with the Sith.

Sounds a bit like Jedi Academy, but in different surroundings. I am just happy that there is fainlly a new game being developed ;)

Wouldn't be going on about multi core, R600 and DirectX 10 if it was console only!
 
I duno why they mention dx10 and multi core and r600. I mean go to the actual lucas site and you will see theres no logo indicating pc, only for x360 and ps3 and i think handhelds tho cant remember for sure about handhelds.

Lol someones going to be getting a website closed cos of this new sw game i think as i just did a search for "star wars unleashed" and found http://www.swunleashed.com/web/index.php lol. Now for some reason i dont think lucas will be liking that this site has the same name as the new game coming out.

Hmm while writing this reply i thought it wasnt coming on pc. Heres the site and no mention of PC is on the platforms to be made for.

Since Darth Vader wouldn't be able to take an apprenice until Darth Sidioius was actually dead, this game is obviously a load of crap. Lucasarts are getting totally sloppy with th Lucasfilm canon policy and lore at this point.

But The Inquirer talk 99% BS. AFAIK its console only (DS, PSP, PS2, PS3 & X360) A PC version hasnt been officially announced yet.

Part of Darth Vader's becoming a Sith Lord would involve his killing Sidious..

I guess its a time filler before KOTOR III, if it does come out for PC it'll be a crappy console port.
